This online course provides an update to IBS treatments incorporating new information on path physiology and treatment. The participant will better understand integrative medical approaches to the treatment of IBS for clinical application, interdisciplinary collaboration and informed patient referrals.
Objectives:
- Describe the symptoms and diagnostic strategies for IBS
- Identify current theories of causation and conventional treatment approaches to IBS
- Describe the Integrative approach to IBS and how to differs from standard care
- Describe the rationale for the evidence-based application of complementary/alternative approaches to IBS.
- Provide informed responses to patient questions and make appropriate referrals to integrative practitioners in order to improve the status of patients living with IBS
You may view the course for free, however if you want to earn the 3 contact hours, you will need to complete a course evaluation and pass a post test with an 80%.
