Course Description: The online course Hepatitis C Prevention, Assessment and Treatment is designed by subject matter experts. This 2 hour course meets the Texas Nurse Examining Board’s requirement for training in Hepatitis C under RuleÐ216.3
Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:
- Describe hepatitis C and modes of transmission’
- Discuss the history of HCV
- Describe the infectious process and genotypes
- List and describe risk factors for HCV
- Describe the various assessment tests and applications
- List and describe symptoms and complications of HCV
- List and describe treatments
- List and describe CDC recommended prevention methods
This course is also pending approval for 2 contact hours from the Ohio State League of Nursing.
